Legendary jazzman Chick Corea died at the age of 80

In Tampa, Florida, American jazz composer and musician Chick Corea died at the age of 80.

The death of the pianist is reported on his website. It says that Chick Corea died on February 9th. Recently, he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that caused the death of the musician.

Corea began his solo career in 1956. During his career, he has released many records, including the famous Now He Sings, Now He Sobs.

Chick Corea is one of the brightest piano performers of the second half of the last century. He is the recipient of 23 Grammy Awards.

The musician's family did not suit, but instead published a message from the jazzman addressed to his fans and colleagues.

"I have the hope that those who have a predisposition for performing, composing, performing or something similar will do so. If not for myself, then for all of us. It's not just that the world needs more artists, but it's just a lot of fun, Chick Corea is quoted as saying.

He also wrote that his mission was "to bring joy of creativity wherever he could, and to do it with all those artists whom I admire so much".
