The corresponding statement appeared on the official website of the company.

“Today we announce that we are suspending all new sales of Microsoft products and services in Russia”, - Microsoft said in a statement to TASS.

Previously, dozens of Western companies made decisions to leave the Russian market or suspend operations.

Among them are ASOS, Apple Store, Burberry, Dell, Diageo (Smirnoff, Guinness, etc.), iHerb, IKEA, Farfetch, HP, H&M (COS, Monk, etc.), LEGO, Mango, Mytheresa, Nike, Pernod Ricard (Chivas Regal, Jameson and others), Plzensky Prazdroj, Staropramen, Budejovicky Budvar, BBCOne, Cannes Festival, MEGOGO, Netflix, Paramount, Sony, Spotify, Warner Bros, Walt Disney Company, Ableton, Cinema 4D, Jooble, Nintendo eShop, Paysera, PlayStation Store, Steam, Twitter, Airbus, BMW, Boeing, Ford, General Motors (Chevrolet, Nexia, Cadillac, Escalade), Harley Davidson, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Renault, Scania, Toyota (including Lexus), Volkswagen (Audi, Bentley, Ducati, Lamborghini, Skoda, Volkswagen), Volvo Cars, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, MasterCard, PayPal, Samsung pay, SWIFT, Visa, Western Union and others.

And this list continues to grow daily.

Recall that the military special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the reason was the appeal of the heads of the LPR and DPR. The Kremlin explained that the introduction of the army is necessary to protect the population of the LPR and DPR, the “liberation” and “denazification” of Ukraine. In Ukraine, in turn, what is happening was called “armed aggression” by Russia. Western countries stood up to protect the interests of Ukraine by imposing sanctions against the Russian Federation.
