Mid-August is the best time to start getting your child to school. It is important for each parent to make this process as painless as possible for the family budget. Avito experts have found out how much parents will have to spend on basic goods.

The wardrobe consists of the uniform provided by the educational institution and clothing for sports. For parents of girls, school uniforms will cost an average of 650 rubles, which is 9% more expensive than last summer. The boys' parents were less fortunate - for them the uniform will cost an average of 1,000 rubles. Compared to the summer of 2020, the price has increased by 25%.

The cost of a sports uniform for girls has not changed since last summer and averaged 500 rubles. The men's uniform, in turn, has risen in price by 10% - this year it will cost an average of 550 rubles.

“Before the start of the school year, we at Avito traditionally observe an increase in demand for school goods. In the past two weeks, Russians have become interested in such products 65% more often than last year. The most popular category turned out to be school uniforms - the demand for it has almost tripled, and Russians have plenty to choose from - the number of advertisements for the sale of both used and completely new school uniforms has grown by 37% compared to last year”, - comments by Alexey Kozlovsky, head of the Lifestyle category.

Compared to last year, backpacks are 17% more expensive, this summer they can be purchased for an average of 700 rubles. The cost of pencil cases has not changed since last summer and averaged 500 rubles. A first-grader's kit, which includes the necessary stationery, costs about 400 rubles.

Thus, the maximum set of necessary school supplies for girls will cost 17,350 rubles, and for boys, a little more - 17,750 rubles.
