The sectors that are most affected by the coronavirus pandemic may lose 17.9 trillion ruble; job loss threatens 15.5 million of Russians, analysts at the National Rating Agency (NRA) say.

This is reported by Izvestia. According to the experts, the service sector will suffer the most during the crisis, the least affected are food and tobacco enterprises, as well as agriculture, fisheries and forestry. The damage to the service sector may amount to 77.5%, the production of clothes and shoes will lose 52.7%, and organizations of culture, sports and leisure will lose up to 46.1%.

- Our estimate allows us to talk about losses of 17.9 trillion rubles in annual terms. Potentially unclaimed in the labor market may be up to 15.5 million people. The reduction in taxes, fees and insurance premiums is estimated at 4.2 trillion rubles. Such damage is unacceptable for the country's economy, therefore, NRA expects the introduction of additional measures to more quickly overcome the crisis, the NRA review says.

Earlier, business ombudsman Boris Titov said that a third of Russian companies have already lost more than 90% of the demand for their goods and services.

Recall that today the Russian government will deliberately consider the second package of anti-crisis measures designed to mitigate the effects of restrictive measures related to the fight against the spread of coronavirus. The first package did not suit business representatives. The volume of the second anti-crisis package is estimated at about 1 trillion rubles.

The authorities intend to provide small and medium-sized businesses from the affected sectors with free financial assistance for salary payments and other urgent purposes. The amount of such assistance will be calculated taking into account the total number of employees as of April 1, based on the amount of 12130 rubles per employee per month.

This amount, recalls the managing partner of Management Development Group Dmitry Potapenko is called "a dead poultice".
