Putin said that Russia cannot be squeezed out of the world economy

“Of course, we understand the huge technological advantages, in high technology the advantage in developed economies is a matter of course. We're not going to cut ourselves off from it. They want to squeeze us out of there a little, but in the modern world this is simply unrealistic, simply impossible”, - Putin said (quote from Interfax).

In his opinion, no one will be able to squeeze the country out of the world economy, unless "we separate ourselves with some kind of wall". The Russian leader added that countries that are trying to isolate Russia are hurting themselves. He called such actions short-sighted.

“No matter how stable the economies of those countries that pursue such a short-sighted policy, the current state of the world economy shows that our position is correct and justified”, - the president said.
