Prices for auto parts have grown by 20% since the beginning of the year

The demand for spare parts also grew during this period. Russians this year made 10% more purchases of parts for cars than a year ago.

Most often, the inhabitants of the country bought body parts: bumpers, hoods, doors. The demand for suspensions and electrics for cars has increased.

“In addition, this year the interest of Russians in exterior details has grown: various moldings, linings, visors and other elements. The demand for them was growing in Moscow and Central Russia, but in Siberia and the Far East these components were less in demand”, - says analyst Alexander Skorokhodov.

Analysts do not note the prerequisites for a decrease in prices for parts, just as they do not expect a shortage of these goods on the market.

“Last year, due to the pandemic, there were problems with the supply of spare parts for cars, and some positions were almost impossible to find both from official suppliers and on the secondary market. Now the situation has generally improved”, - he added.

We will remind, earlier experts recorded a significant increase in demand for used cars. This is due primarily to the rise in prices for new cars. The second reason is that the market for used cars is richer: the buyer can choose the brand of car he likes in the required configuration and buy it immediately, without waiting for delivery.
