Residents of Moscow have filled the Internet with complaints about the "hazy stench". Many are convinced that the dense and dense fog that enveloped the capital was provoked by harmful chemical emissions in the industrial zone of the Novomoskovsk administrative district.

As noted by the publication "Podyem" with reference to the complaints of residents, in the south and southeast of the city, animals feel the "chemical content" of the air.

“The smell of chemistry and hellish burning. A dog, for example, sneezes, ”Muscovites complained.

Initially, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said that they had not received any reports of harmful elections and leaks of toxic substances from enterprises in the capital.

Meanwhile, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, called the phenomenon that worried Muscovites "radiation fog" that has nothing to do with radioactivity.

However, by noon it became known that in the Moscow air the norm of a dangerous substance - carbon monoxide - was exceeded. In Lyublino, an excess of the maximum permissible concentration of carbon oxides by 1.04 times was recorded.

“The ecological situation, in particular, was worsened by waste incineration. So, residents of Moscow and the Moscow region complained about the smoke and the smell of burning, and over the past 24 hours, almost 30 thermal points have been registered in the region", - Lenta.ru notes.

The increase in wind expected by the evening should improve the situation: presumably, it will disperse the "yellow stench" by 21:00 on November 2.

A thick fog covered Moscow on the evening of November 1. Due to the deterioration of visibility at airports, about 150 flights were delayed , about 30 aircraft were forced to leave for alternate airfields. The traffic police warned drivers about the dangers of driving at such low visibility and advised motorists not to drive until the smog dissipated.
