A deserter near Rostov opened fire on the police with a machine gun

According to Kommersant with reference to the data of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, the incident occurred around noon. The attacker who opened fire was wearing a camouflage uniform.

“The police are carrying out a complex of operational-search measures aimed at identifying and detaining a suspect in an attack on police officers in Novoshakhtinsk. One of the police officers received a gunshot wound”, - the press service said.

The identity of the attacker has not yet been established, his search continues. According to the Baza telegram channel, the injured policeman was hospitalized. He is believed to have been shot in the pelvis. Colleagues of the security officer were given bulletproof vests.

The exit from the city is blocked, a traffic jam has formed on the highway, citizens are asked not to leave their homes unnecessarily, and children's institutions are temporarily closed for security reasons.
