In the Amur region, the current tore off the safety cable and carried the ferry from the crossing into the river

The prosecutor's office of the region reports about the incident.

A strong current first broke and then tore out the support that held the safety cable on one of the banks, the report says. As a result, the ferry on which the truck was transported was swept away by the current. The ferry ran aground nearby.

It is noted that no one was injured in the incident. People were evacuated. Workers restore the crossing.

Recall that because of the flood in the Amur region declared a state of emergency. As a result of heavy rainfall, over 80 houses and 200 adjacent territories were flooded in the region. About 150 people were evacuated. 32 settlements were cut off from road traffic. Showers continue in the region. Two months of rain fell in two days.
