The number of deaths from alcohol poisoning in the Orenburg region increased to 14

According to RIA Novosti, three suspects in the production and sale of counterfeit products were detained within the framework of a criminal case on alcohol poisoning. The governor of the region Denis Pasler ordered to urgently inform citizens about the inadmissibility of buying and consuming unlicensed alcohol.

On the eve it became known about the mass deaths of those who consumed alcohol in the region.

Initially, the Investigative Committee stated that nine people died as a result of poisoning with surrogate alcohol. Five of them lived in the Dombarovsky district of the region, four in the Yasnensky urban district.

On the fact of the incident, two criminal cases were initiated under the article on the production and sale of goods that did not meet safety requirements, which inadvertently resulted in the death of more than two persons.
