Four people were killed in a fire in a Moscow nursing home

The fire began at about half past nine in the evening of April 8 on the minus ground and first floors of the building on 3rd Myakininskaya Street. The fire managed to spread to 300 square meters. m. Among the dead - guests and employees of the boarding house.

After the fire, the guests were placed in the neighboring building, and then 28 people were transferred to the social rehabilitation center of the Moscow Department of Social Protection.

Eyewitnesses said that during the fire, elderly residents of the “Third Age” ran up to the windows and asked for help. A Muscovite, who was in a nearby hostel, said that he helped evacuate the victims of the fire.

- Carried wheelchairs, blankets, warm clothes. Naturally, there was panic - he told the channel REN.

The cause of the tragedy could be cotton in a boiler room that runs on diesel fuel. According to the second version, the fire occurred due to ignition of the power cable.

A criminal case was opened on the fact of the emergency. It is reported that the Moscow prosecutor Denis Popov will personally monitor the progress of the investigation.

Telegram channels wrote that the firemen could not immediately approach the building - electrical wires interfered with the movement of equipment.

According to Baza, the nursing home is quite expensive - the cost of living in it is estimated at 1600 rubles per day.
