The number of people injured a in road traffic accident in the Moscow region has grown to 50

An incident on the M-9 highway near the turn to the village of Glukhovo occurred on the afternoon of January 11: a civilian dump truck drove into a convoy of four military buses. They transported conscripts. As a result of the collision, four servicemen were killed and 28 were injured. Later it became known that the number of victims increased to 50.

"According to preliminary data, the driver of a civilian heavy-duty vehicle, following in the same direction, lost control and plunged into one of the PAZ buses of a military convoy that transported personnel", - Interfax reports.

As TASS clarifies, the driver of the dump truck received medical assistance on an outpatient basis, he was detained on suspicion of committing a crime under Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and vehicle operation"). Another criminal case was initiated by the military investigation department of the Investigative Committee for the Solnechnogorsk garrison under Part 3 of Art. 350 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules for driving or operating military vehicles").

Now more than 40 injured soldiers are being treated at the Vishnevsky hospital. According to RIA Novosti, the victims have numerous abrasions, bruises, fractures. One is in a serious condition.
