A miner died in a mine collapse in Kuzbass

Interfax reports this, citing its source. According to the interlocutor of the agency, at the time of the collapse there were 95 people in the mine. 97 were able to get to the surface on their own. The body of one miner was later discovered. There is no connection with one of the miners. Six "remained on life support".

TASS informs that the roof collapsed at the mine.

According to the Department of Coal Industry of the Kemerovo Region, the company has currently suspended coal mining and tunneling.

- While the check is underway, inspectors are working, - explained the representative of the department.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region clarified that currently 31 rescuers and seven pieces of equipment are working at the scene.

The mine is located in the city of Belovo, it is managed by MMK-Ugol, a subsidiary of PJSC MMK, one of the world's largest steel producers.
