Criminal case is opened against the CIO of the state company Russian Post

The case was opened against Sergey Yemelchenkov, the Deputy Director General of Russian Post (Pochta Rossii) company for Information Technologies and Digital Services Development (pictured).

This is reported by RBC, referring to a company representative. The case against the top manager was initiated by the management of the RF Investigation Committee of Moscow. According to a representative of the Russian Post, the company interacts with law enforcement agencies to investigate all the circumstances of the incident.

It's not informed yet according to which article the Chief information officer of the state company was detained.

The detention of Yemelchenkov was reported by TAdviser. According to the authors of the publication, the investigative measures were also held at several IT suppliers of the company - Merlion, Jet Infosystems, Ai-Teco, Technoserv, Maykor, Softline.

Yemelchenkov has been working at Russian Post since 2013. Previously, he was the Deputy General Director for IT at RENOVA-Finance CJSC and the General Director of KED-Energosbyt CJSC. It's mentioned in the publication that the president of the National Computer Corporation Alexander Kalinin is also detained, and that this matter could be connected to a cartel conspiracy.
