A man injured in an explosion at a coal warehouse in Lipetsk

The night before, at about 21:30, an explosion thundered at NLMK's coal warehouse, followed by a fire. The roof collapsed. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported about the possible finding of people under the rubble, but the company denied this version. Later, rescuers indicated that the data was not confirmed.

The preliminary cause of the incident was called an explosion of a dust-air mixture. An Interfax source said that this could have happened due to a malfunction of the equipment. Or due to a discharge of static electricity

The check began in the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor's Office.
