He clarified that at this stage, the main burden of finding and lifting the bodies and the helicopter fell on the military, as well as on the rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Now five bodies of the dead have been raised to the surface. Three more bodies were found inside the helicopter. At the crash site, there are three military units with special equipment and Emergencies Ministry divers.

On August 16, work is planned to survey the lake. After that, a decision will be made on how exactly the helicopter will be retrieved to the surface. In the meantime, rescuers are looking for wreckage and mark points on the map where they are. To date, all major parts of the aircraft have been found. On the eve, rescuers tried to get inside the helicopter. In this attempt, three bodies and a "black box" were found.

- Experts will try to open the back flap so that the drone can enter to retrieve the bodies. To raise the flight recorder, special equipment will also be brought, - said Roman Vasilevsky.

Helicopter Mi-8 collapsed into the lake on 12 August in the area of the Kronotsky reserve . On board were tourists from Moscow and St. Petersburg. Of the 16 people, eight survived. Two victims are in serious condition in intensive care.

Among the main versions of the incident, investigators consider poor visibility due to bad weather, helicopter engine failure, and pilot error. Previously General Director of Avintel Alliance of Aviation Technologies Viktor Pryadka suggested what could have caused the accident. According to him, this company, which provided services to tourists, repeatedly noted violations in the operation of helicopters. Some of the pilots in this company worked continuously for eight hours.
