The head of the anti-drug department was detained in Moscow for a bribe of 1.5 million rubles

- An employee of the Directorate for Drug Control of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow, who tried to get an illegal cash reward in the amount of 1.5 million rubles for the termination of verification activities in relation to the organization, was detained in the capital. In case of the fault, he will be dismissed from the Police for misconduct, discrediting honor of a police officer, and will be punished in accordance with the legislation, and its leaders will be held to strict disciplinary action - TASS leads the words of the representative of the State press service of Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow.

According to RIA Novosti, we are talking about Sergey Dmitriyev - the head of the sixth department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the fight against drugs. The agency’s law enforcement source indicated that Dmitriev pleaded guilty.

Now a criminal case has been opened in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee in Moscow on articles on preparing for a crime and attempted crimes and on fraud committed by an organized group or on a particularly large scale.
