According to Interfax , citing the press service of the United Aircraft Corporation, the deaths of all three pilots, including Honored Test Pilot, Hero of Russia Nikolay Kuimov, have been confirmed.

“We express our condolences to the family and friends of the crew members Nikolay Kuimov, Dmitry Komarov, Nikolay Khludeyev. The United Aircraft Corporation will provide the necessary assistance to the families of the victims”, - the message says.

As a result of the plane crash, no one on the ground was injured: until the last minute, the pilots "pulled" the plane away from their homes.

The death of the crew in the United Aircraft Corporation was called a huge tragedy and an irreparable loss - the crashed plane was the "color" of Russian aviation.

The prototype Il-112V crashed on August 17 near Kubinka near Moscow just before the landing approach. The crash was preceded by a fire in the aircraft's right engine.

The United Aircraft Corporation noted that an appropriate commission will be created to find out the causes of the accident.

Earlier it was reported that on August 13, a prototype of the Il-112V, which continues preliminary tests, flew from the Voronezh plant in the Moscow region to participate in the Army-2021 forum, which will be held on August 22-28 in Kubinka outside Moscow. The second sample is undergoing life tests.

Il-112V is the first military transport aircraft developed in Russia "from scratch" in the post-Soviet period. It should replace the aging An-24 and An-26 fleet. IL-112V is designed for transportation and airborne landing of up to 5 tons of light weapons, military equipment, cargo and personnel.
