“We promptly dispatched a mobile laboratory to confirm the findings. All materials on excess will be transferred to the supervisory authorities for conducting verification activities, establishing all the reasons and punishing those responsible within the framework of an administrative investigation, the official wrote in his Telegram.
He clarified that in some areas of the city "a strong smell of hydrogen sulfide or similar to the smell of sewage can be felt." Bezrukov added that in today's hot weather, the department recommends that enterprises located in the Metallurgical, Kalinovsky, Kurchatov and Traktorozavodsky districts reduce air emissions on August 18. The city administration was advised to intensify watering of city streets.
Recall that last month in Omsk, an excess of the maximum permissible concentration of hydrogen sulphide was revealed by almost one and a half times.
Note that hydrogen sulfide has a negative effect on the respiratory tract and the nervous system. In addition, it can cause irritation of the eyes, mucous membranes, headaches and fatigue.
