The woman claims that according to the script, the actor should not have fired the shot that killed the chief operator Galina Hutchins.

Alec Baldwin and other "Rust" producers face a new lawsuit over the fatal shooting on set last month, Insider reported. The lawsuit was filed by Mamie Mitchell, who worked on the film as an assistant script director.

“Alec Baldwin deliberately, for no good reason or necessity, cocked the trigger and fired a loaded pistol, although the scene that was being filmed did not require firing a firearm”, - Mitchell said in the lawsuit. “Mr. Baldwin decided to play Russian roulette with a loaded pistol without testing it and asking the gunsmith to do it. His behavior and that of the producers ...can be considered deliberate acts and / or omissions without any cause and committed with complete disregard for the consequences".

According to Mitchell, she was standing less than a meter and a half from Baldwin when he fired. As a result, she "suffered severe physical trauma" and also experienced "mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering".

Other defendants listed in Mitchell's suit include gunsmith Hannah Gutierrez-Reed and assistant director David Halls.

This lawsuit was filed a week after the head of the lighting department, Serge Svetly, went to court, accusing Baldwin of negligence.
