In the city of Ust-Ilimsk, Irkutsk region, a young man entered the military registration and enlistment office and shot at the chief. The shooter was arrested.

According to eyewitnesses, the head of the draft board was wounded. The attacker was detained - he turned out to be 25-year-old local resident Ruslan Zinin (pictured).

According to the telegram channel Baza, the attacker went inside the building and said: "No one will fight." It is preliminarily reported that he fired from a sawn-off shotgun.

The wounded head of the military commissariat, who was shot at point-blank range, is in intensive care.

The state of emergency in the military registration and enlistment office occurred at 12.20 local time (at 7.20 Moscow time).

The governor of the Irkutsk region , Igor Kobzev, instructed to strengthen security measures in the region after the incident. He also assured that the shooter "will definitely be punished."

“I am ashamed that this is happening at a time when, on the contrary, we should be united. We must fight not with each other, but against real threats,” the head of the region stressed.

According to RIA Novosti , no one except the military commissar was injured during the shooting. The head of the commissariat received six shots in the chest, he is on the operating table, doctors are fighting for his life.

Telegram channel ASTRA contacted Zinin's mother. She said that she learned about what happened from the news. She is in shock after watching the video from the draft board. The mother of the shooter said that he had recently lived with his grandmother, and in the morning he announced that he was going to the military registration and enlistment office as a volunteer, then contact with him was lost. Zinin himself did not receive a mobilization summons, but his best friend did, Marina Zinina said.

- Ruslan was very upset because of this, because a friend did not serve in the army. They said that there would be partial mobilization, but it turns out that they take everyone, - she said.

She said she did not know where her son got the weapon.

"
