16 people were injured in St. Petersburg in a tram collision

In St. Petersburg, on Bukharestskaya Street near Slavy Avenue, two trams on routes 25 and 43 collided. 16 people were taken to hospitals from the scene of the accident.
According to the city Komzdravnadzor, there are no children among the 16 victims. All injured were in a state of moderate severity. Two of them were sent to the Mariinsky Hospital, seven to the Emergency Research Institute, and another seven to hospital Nr 26.
12 ambulance teams are working at the scene.
Previously, the cause of the collision is called the fact that the driver of one of the trams had a heart attack while working. He continued to move and crashed into a tram in front of him.
The exact cause of the accident will be established by a special commission.
