In the Amur region, the driver who took drugs made a fatal accident

The tragedy happened in the Shimanovsky district, where a Mitsubishi Fuso truck crashed into a Toyota Funcargo, in which there were six people. Now the 41-year-old truck driver has been detained.

“A medical examination conducted showed the presence of a narcotic substance in the blood of a truck driver,” the ministry said.

A case was brought against the truck driver under an article on violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles, which, through negligence, entailed the death of two or more persons, committed by a person in a state of intoxication. Now the issue of electing him into custody is being decided. He faces up to 15 years in prison.

The investigation is under the control of the heads of the regional Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
