Three generals of the Rosgvardia and a number of employees of the department came under suspicion of the investigation in connection with the multi-million dollar embezzlement in the department during the implementation of the real estate register.

According to Kommersant, the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office demanded the initiation of criminal cases against high-ranking security officials. She sent materials to the Main Military Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee to initiate a criminal case on abuse of office, which entailed grave consequences (part 3 of Art.285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), in relation to the ex-head of the Rosgvardia (Federal National Guard Troops Service) main communications department, Lieutenant General Alexei Belyakov and two others generals service.

“Another four people are suspected of particularly large fraud (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code). All of them were involved in the check carried out due to the costs of the information system "Real Estate", which had not yet started working, "the message says.

The "Real Estate" system was supposed to digitize and combine all objects of the department in a single register.

"Rosgvardia, like the internal troops, is a huge economy with hundreds, even thousands of objects that were necessary, as in all other departments - both civilian and paramilitary, to systematize and enter into a single register for ease of management and maintenance", - notes the edition.

192 million rubles were allocated from the budget to create this program. But, despite the fact that work on the resource began back in 2012, when the functions of the current National Guard were still carried out by the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the system has not yet worked.

As the officers of the Rosgvardia security service found out, it is not possible to download an electronic resource and start working with it. Meanwhile, high-ranking officials of the Rosgvardia turned a blind eye to this and signed fictitious acts on the commissioning of the Real Estate information system in 2017. The prosecutor's office became interested in these documents and initiated an inspection.

The auditors found that only the overestimation of the price of the work performed for the system that did not work was about 90 million rubles.

At the same time, an official investigation into payment for work for the creation of an inoperative system began in the Russian Guard itself.

If the guilt of the generals of the Rosgvardia is proved, they face up to 10 years in prison and a three-year ban on work in law enforcement agencies.
