"The investigator appealed to the Oktyabrsky District Court with a petition to choose a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest against the former Deputy Mayor - the chairman of the Oktyabrsky District Management Committee, accused of accepting three large bribes. The petition was granted by the court ruling", - reported in the Oktyabrsky district court of the city.

Recall that from July 2019 to May, the current heads of three commercial organizations working in the housing and utilities sector of Irkutsk received kickbacks from 23 contractor enterprises that served apartment buildings. According to the materials of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region, contractors paid from 3 to 5 million rubles a month, as a result, the total amount of kickbacks amounted to over 50 million rubles.

The defendants were nine people, including founders, directors, chief accountants of a commercial organization, and managers. Five of them are in custody. The rest, including Prelovsky, were placed under house arrest.

It's worth to note that at the beginning of the month in Irkutsk, a high-ranking officer of the Federal Penitentiary Service was arrested for a bribe of 60 million rubles.
