Russian President Vladimir Putin can very harshly criticize subordinates for mistakes. The press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov said this in an interview with TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him, he himself faced a serious "takedown", after which "I did not want to live".

“I have come across serious criticism from the president... The feeling was like I don't want to live right away. It can be tough, yes”, - he said.

In March 2018, Putin said in an interview with an American TV channel NBC, which does not personally follow every word of the staff of its administration and government of the Russian Federation. “Do you really think that I control everyone? Look, [Dmitry] Peskov sits opposite, my press secretary, he sometimes talk bollocks, I watch TV and think: what is he talking about there? Who instructed him to do this?", - said the Russian leader.

Peskov, in turn, doubted that "there is a press secretary who is not criticized by the leadership". “This is probably the press secretary who does nothing”, - he suggested.

According to him, the Kremlin has repeatedly stated that President Putin is a very demanding person and boss. "Criticism can be more tense or less tense", - the head of state's spokesman added.

In a conversation with Solovyov, Peskov also spoke about the president's schedule. Putin is constantly working with short breaks. "In fact, he lives at work with little five minutes per human life", - said the spokesman. He added that he himself would not want to live in such a mode.

In mid-December, as the Gazeta.ru reminds, Dmitry Peskov said that he knows nothing about the personal life of Vladimir Putin. “I am an official, I am a civil servant, so this is not my job. Of course, the personal, family life of Putin concerns only Putin himself and only those who are his family members and dear ones”, - said Peskov.
