The Dozhd TV channel notes that a screenshot with Tikhanovskaya's personal data appeared in the media. It contains her name, date and place of birth, nationality.
“According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Tikhanovskaya is wanted in a criminal case. It is not specified what case we are talking about”, - the TV channel notes.
TASS citing a source reports that Tikhanovskaya was put on the wanted list in Belarus, "but it will also be carried out in Russia, since we are talking about an interstate search".
Let us remind you that the ex-presidential candidate of Belarus Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who was forced out of the country by the Lukashenko regime, has become a key figure in the Belarusian opposition.
According to the Central Election Commission of Belarus, long-term President Alexander Lukashenko won the presidential elections on August 9 with 80% of the vote, while Tikhanovskaya won only 10%.
However, representatives of the opposition, relying on the data of exit pools and numerous evidences of fraud in favor of Lukashenko, are convinced that in fact the results of the elections are “mirror-like”.
Since the end of voting, protest actions and rallies have not stopped in Belarus. Citizens take to the streets demanding Lukashenko’s resignation and fair democratic elections. In addition, residents demand to stop police arbitrariness and release political prisoners from prisons.
