Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet at the June 16 summit with US President Joe Biden at the Villa La Grange in Geneva. The Swiss Foreign Ministry reports.

"We thank both sides for their confidence in choosing Geneva to host the summit", - the Swiss Foreign Ministry writes in Twitter.

Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the summit will be held at this villa. He added that the president will fly to Switzerland on the day of the summit.

At the upcoming meeting in Geneva, Putin intends to discuss with Biden the settlement of international conflicts in hot spots, disarmament processes, the fight against terrorism and pandemic, as well as environmental issues. Biden, in turn, wants to talk about human rights violations.

We will remind, earlier the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked Biden to meet with him at any time and anywhere in the world before the start of the summit in Geneva with Putin. The reason was the refusal by the United States of sanctions against "Nord Stream-2". He called this gas pipeline a weapon in the hands of the Russian Federation. The President opposed the completion of this project so that Russia could not supply gas to Europe bypassing Ukraine.
