Tikhanovskaya's headquarters refused to recognize the results of the voting in Belarus

According to preliminary official data, the incumbent President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was supported by more than 80% of the country's residents. Tikhanovskaya won almost 10% of the vote.

According to the headquarters, information from polling stations in all districts suggests that about 70-80% of the country's residents voted for Tikhanovskaya. The headquarters added that they would say about the further actions of the opposition candidate later, RIA Novosti writes.

This year the turnout in the elections in Belarus was 84.2%. There were queues outside polling stations during the main voting day on Sunday. Political analysts believe that Lukashenko lost this election crushingly , and the actual voting results are mirror images of those that have already been made public. Earlier, the country launched the Voice project, in which all residents of the country were encouraged to register and send there photographs of their ballots in order to organize an alternative vote count. To date, almost 1.2 million people have registered on the portal. According to the website of the project, the results of the alternative vote count will be made public after the CEC of Belarus sums up the results of the vote.

After the end of voting, residents of Belarus went to mass protests. The police used flash-noise grenades against the protesters, as a result, part of the republic's residents were injured, one person died . After the publication of the preliminary results of the voting, local websites stopped working in the country. Earlier it was noted that young people between the ages of 18 and 35 were called up for a 25-day emergency mobilization.
