Peskov hopes that the "Belarusian scenario" will not repeat itself in Russia

He also pointed out that the ongoing protests in the republic do not mean at all that all Belarusians are against the current President Alexander Lukashenko.

"As for the Belarusian events, there are always dissatisfied people after the elections, always and in all countries. The only question is whether these disaffected are in the majority or in the minority. And here, when we talk about Belarusian events, we, of course, have no right to forget about the huge number of Belarusians who sincerely support their president”, - Interfax quotes Peskov.

According to the Kremlin spokesman, there are a lot of citizens in Belarus who are satisfied with the current government of the country, and "a mass protest does not mean that all Belarusians are absolutely against Lukashenko".

He is also sure that it is impossible to interfere in the affairs of another state, and the Belarusians are able to independently figure out their problems. Moreover, he stressed that "only they" can solve their problems.

“Neither we, nor other countries of Europe or the world have the right to interfere in the Belarusian events”, - Peskov stressed.

As for the possible repetition of the Belarusian scenario in Russia in 2024, Peskov noted that the Russian Federation is a country with its own political culture and political landscape, and therefore "political life in Russia will develop according to its own Russian scenario".
