The population in St. Petersburg is “more educated and qualified” than in Moscow, and therefore the city did not have to impose such strict quarantine measures, as in the capital, said Vice-Governor Yevgeny Yelin (pictured).
The official also pointed out that it is impossible to “compare” Moscow and Petersburg.
- You can not compare Moscow and St. Petersburg(...) We did not introduce such severe restrictions as Moscow. In our opinion, this is justified. Not because we are smarter, but because we believe that we have much more prepared residents, a more even population, more educated, more qualified. Therefore, we remove the restrictions more carefully”, - Yelin said on TOPSPB.TV
Earlier, in a city with a “more educated population", the funeral ceremony for the dead was prohibited, regardless of the cause of their death. At the same time, no information was published on any of the official portals.
Let us recall that the regime of restrictions in St. Petersburg has been relaxed since June 1. From June 15, hairdressers, libraries and saunas will be opened. Fitness clubs will open in the city in July.
