CIA Director William Burns commented at the Aspen Forum on claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin was allegedly ill. He referred to an informal intelligence assessment.

- There are a lot of rumors about President Putin's health. But as far as we can tell, he's too healthy. This is an informal intelligence assessment, Burns said , broadcast of his speech is available on YouTube.

During his speech at the forum "Strong people for a new time" in Iran on July 20, Vladimir Putin coughed several times, later explaining this by working air conditioners.

According to Burns, he "earned" most of the gray hair due to negotiations with Moscow and Tehran. Thus, he commented on the photo of Putin and Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, taken during the visit of the Russian leader to Iran.

Earlier there were rumors that Putin's health was allegedly shaken, but this was denied by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. He stated that "sane people" can hardly see "in this person signs of some kind of illness or indisposition."
