During the rallies in support of opposition leader Alexey Navalny on April 21, a total of 1,770 people were detained. Most of the arrests took place in St. Petersburg - 805 people.

It is reported by OVD-Info. They also clarified that at 7:53 am Moscow time, it was known about the arrests in 96 cities of the country. In Ufa, 119 participants were detained, in Kazan - 66, in Barnaul - 53, in Voronezh - 53, in Kemerovo - 36. In Moscow, 25 participants in uncoordinated actions were detained.

In addition, it is known about detentions in other cities. For example, in Kostroma, the leader of local supporters of Navalny, Alexander Zykov, was one of the first to be detained. At least a dozen people were detained in Ulan-Ude. In Rostov-on-Don, the arrests began in the first hour of the uncoordinated action. The exact number of those detained has not been disclosed; local media report several.
