At a meeting of the Security Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the main clashes during the special operation are taking place with nationalist formations, and not with the units of the regular Ukrainian army.

“The clashes of the Russian army, as expected, are not taking place with the regular units of the armed forces of Ukraine, but with the nationalist formations”, - the Russian president said.

Vladimir Putin compared Ukrainian nationalists to terrorists and also called on the Ukrainian military to lay down their arms and cease resistance. The President of Russia stressed that "a gang of drug addicts and neo-Nazis" has settled in Kiev.

“Take power into your own hands. It looks like it will be easier for us to come to terms with you than with this gang of drug addicts and neo-Nazis, who settled in Kiev and took the entire Ukrainian people hostage”, - Putin said.
