The mayor of Kyiv was asked if there were plans to evacuate civilians if the city was taken by Russian units. After a few seconds of thought, Klitschko replied: “We cannot do this because all paths are blocked. Now we are surrounded".

RBC also cites the words of the mayor of Kiev about the inability of the city to replenish food and medicine supplies. “We are on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe. Now we have electricity, now we have water and heating in our homes. But the infrastructure for delivering food and medicine has been destroyed”, - Klitschko replied.

It's worth reminding that on February 25, on the second day after the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, Vitali Klitschko said that the city "entered the defense phase". “The Ukrainian army is holding the defense around Kyiv. The situation is complicated”, - he said at the time.
