Network analyst Yelena Kadyrova published on her blog the forecast for the peak of the fourth wave of coronavirus in Russia, compiled by medical specialists in a closed professional group.

1. Today, a record was set for the number of new cases of the disease per day (average rate per week) in the entire history of covid in Russia - 32,196 people.
2. This means that the 4th wave has already surpassed not only the 3rd, but also the 2nd.
3. The transition to the 4th wave was atypical. Well, or paradoxical.
4. Since mid-September, the burden on medicine (the number of cases minus recovered minus died) has been record-breaking and the record is updated every day.

The forecast for this peak is on December 7, with the number of active patients (not yet recovered or died) 1,200,000. For comparison, the previous peak on January 15, 2021 was twice as low: 554,000.

So there is no need to be ill with anything in the next 9 months - the doctors will have a lot of trouble even without you, they will not be able to give you enough attention.
