From the point of view of modern dietetics and practical experience, it is in no case to refuse or skip lunch due to being busy.

People who regularly skip lunch are at risk of health problems. Why the daily meal is so important, nutritionist Andrey Bobrovsky told radio Sputnik.

Many people think that it is good for health to eat well in the morning, but in the afternoon it is not so important. However, nutritionists have a different opinion on this matter. The main and maximum high-calorie meal should be at lunch, said Andrey Bobrovsky, a nutritionist, associate professor of the Faculty of Medicine of St. Petersburg State University, in an interview with Sputnik radio.

“While nutritionists are still arguing about the benefits of breakfast, there is no debate about lunch. From the point of view of modern dietetics and practical experience, lunch should always be. Our digestive system is accustomed to getting maximum calories, maximum amount of food at lunchtime. Our physical and mental activity suggests that lunch is the main and highest calorie meal”, - the nutritionist explained.

Do not think that if you regularly skip lunch or skip it due to busy work, you can lose a few pounds.

The effect will be exactly the opposite, and other serious consequences for the body cannot be avoided, the doctor warned.

“If you don't satisfy your hunger at lunchtime, eating disorders can occur. This threatens with strong urges of hunger and appetite in the evening or at night. Hence overeating, extra pounds and other diseases. If you do not take into account the rhythms of hunger and appetite, then a person begins to switch to a higher-calorie diet. Instead of having lunch on time and properly, a person begins to snack on, relatively speaking, a chocolate bar. This way he even more disturbs his eating rhythms”, - explained Andrey Bobrovsky.
