Preflight training of the film crew of the film "Challenge" will be held at the Yu.A. Gagarin, according to "7 days". Klim Shipenko, Yulia Peresild and their understudies Alexey Dudin and Alena Mordovina will get acquainted with the structure, onboard systems, equipment of the Soyuz MS TPK and the Russian segment of the ISS. The film crew will learn what the work of the crew is and how to act in case of emergencies such as depressurization and fire. In addition, a training course is planned on the IL-76 MDK airplane laboratory, which allows acquiring the skills necessary for space flight in conditions of short-term weightlessness. Before leaving for Baikonur, the participants of the film group will be examined.
The launch of the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft is scheduled for October 2021. Roscosmos cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov will become the spacecraft commander and flight engineer, he will deliver the film crew to the ISS, where they will stay for two weeks. In addition to filming a feature film, the Challenge project envisages filming documentaries about the Russian rocket and space industry.
