Unknown raiders in Nazran attacked the co-chairman of the public movement Mehka-Khel (People's Court) Sarazhdin Sultygov. They brutally beat an elderly blind public figure and demanded that he give up video messages about the definition of the border with Chechnya.

Now law enforcement agencies of Ingushetia are checking into the fact of the attack on Sultygov, Interfax reports . The raid took place in the middle of the day. The attackers acted brazenly, confidently, demonstratively and without hiding.

“There were three criminals in total, one remained in the car. Two men went into an apartment building in Nazran near the 105th array. The intruders knocked on the door, after it was opened, they burst into Sultygov's apartment, struck him several times on the move and threw the blind pensioner to the floor. Then one of the attackers kicked him in the stomach”, - the report says.

The perpetrators demanded that the victim refuse video messages about the definition of the border with Chechnya. The attackers, one of whom filmed the incident on his phone, had an accomplice who acted as the driver and waited in the car.

According to law enforcers, the attackers were caught on CCTV footage. The recordings clearly show the faces of the hijackers, as well as the BMW car carrying them with license plates of the neighboring region. Thanks to the data of the network of video cameras, the security forces also have information about the route of the foreign car, the passengers of which are already being searched for.

The injured public figure recorded a video message in which he spoke about the details of the incident. Sultygov said that the beating began immediately after the raiders told him:

"If you call that person's name again". Obviously, in the threats of the mobile brigade of punishers who arrived in Ingushetia, the name of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, was meant, since Sultygov had earlier filed three claims in response to Kadyrov's demand to bring reasonable charges against him within three days.

Sultygov proposed to Kadyrov to create a bilateral commission to determine the boundaries between the regions, to restore the rights to housing of the Ingush who lived in Grozny before the hostilities, and also proposed to abandon critical statements about Ingushetia.

In early January, it became known that the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, appealed to the people of neighboring Ingushetia, demanding that they substantiate their claims against them within three days and “determine the degree of guilt and punishment” according to Russian or Sharia law.

The head of Chechnya suggested that his critics formally charge him and impose a punishment on him, "observing all the traditions", and promised that if there are no motivated accusations, he will "fully" ask those who are trying to "slander" him. Kadyrov gave the Ingush three days to bring charges. Those who write negative things to him on social networks, he called "button patriots".

“And if you unreasonably accuse me, I will try to ask in full. These are not just words. I'm not going to joke anymore,” Kadyrov threatened the Ingush in his ultimatum.

The dispute between Chechnya and Ingushetia began after the collapse of the USSR. The reason was the unsettled situation about the lands in the border regions of Sundensky and Malgobeksky, which in Soviet times were part of a single Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In the 1990s, the Sunzhensky district, in addition to the settlements of Sernovodsk and Assinovskaya, went to Ingushetia.

But in 2012, a commission was created in Chechnya to "clarify and agree on the administrative border". As a result, Chechnya received mountains and forests in the Sunzha region, and Ingushetia received land in the Nadterechny region of Chechnya. The agreement on the new border was signed in 2018 by Kadyrov and Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, then head of Ingushetia.

There was no visible discontent in Chechnya. And in Ingushetia, thousands of desperate protests began against the "unequal exchange" and the loss of 26 hectares of land.

After mass protests, the most active residents were detained and put on trial. At the end of 2021, they were sentenced to long terms of imprisonment for organizing violence against security officials (part 3 of article 33, part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), creating an extremist organization and participating in it (parts 1 and 2 of article 282.1 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and a number of other charges.

Amid protests, Yevkurov resigned in 2019. The decision on new borders between Ingushetia and Chechnya was recognized by the Constitutional Court of Russia as legal. Meanwhile, dissatisfaction with the redistribution of borders in Ingushetia does not subside. Those who write about their negative attitude to the redistribution of land in social networks, Kadyrov criticized.

"The devils have done their job. There are people who are envious and jealous. I didn't take the land from you, I left the land for you. I am not guilty before you of anything. The devils have done their job. There are people who are envious and jealous. Normal people have no complaints against us. And the crazy ones should be sent to a psychiatric hospital”, - Kadyrov said.

He added that he would take a few more villages from those who would be indignant.

“I am now addressing those provocateurs. I took the land from you, because I do not consider you to be people and men. And I will take the rest of the villages, because you will not calm down until I do this”, - Kommersant quotes Kadyrov as saying.
