Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin contracted coronavirus

According to RIA Novosti, the head of the Russian government informed Russian President Vladimir Putin about his illness via videocommunication. He also said that he is going to the self-isolation and will follow the medical prescriptions.

At the same time, the government will continue its work and it will stay in touch with members of the cabinet. Mikhail Mishustin proposed First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov to the post of Acting Prime Minister. Vladimir Putin signed a decree on his appointment in connection with the illness of the head of government.

Vladimir Putin wished Mikhail Mishustin a speedy recovery, and he in turn asked the Russians to stay home. According to the press secretary of the Prime Minister Boris Belyakov, the Prime Minister will be treated for coronavirus " in one of the medical institutions under the supervision of doctors."

As the editor-in-chief of Ekho Moskvy radio station Alexei Venediktov said in his telegram channel, Mikhail Mishustin’s temperature rose to 39 degrees.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin commented on the illness of the head of government:

“A person who, as I know, is constantly checked, constantly tries to avoid unnecessary contacts, and to protect himself from this disease, nevertheless, you see what fact we have now. There's nothing absolutely good in it, it’s just a signal to all of us. Let us postpone the conversations that everything is wonderful with us"

It is known that Mikhail Mishustin already limited communication several weeks ago, all meetings were held online, however, everyone who personally contacted him would be isolated and undergo additional testing, ”said Boris Belyakov.
