Soldier Shamsutdinov will face new charges of attempted murder

This was reported by TASS, referring to the lawyer Shamsutdinov Ravil Tugushev.

- He was charged under Art. 105 (“Murder”), but since the two people survived, the prosecution was divided into two parts. Firstly, there was a charge under article 105, and secondly, the article “Attempted murder”, - added the lawyer.

Recall that on October 25, 2019, Shamsutdinov shot the military personnel of the military unit of the Drovyaninsky garrison. Two officers and six colleagues died, two were seriously injured. A soldier fired as a result of an uneven breakdown due to bullying by another soldier, Ruslan Mukhatov. According to Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of Shamsutdinov faces life imprisonment.

As for the culprit of hazing, he managed to get off with a suspended sentence, although the state prosecutor requested two years in prison for him.

It should be noted that, in addition to Shamsutdinov, four more soldiers passed victims in the hazing case. Mukhatov apologized to them and paid compensation - 500 rubles each. Those, in turn, said at a meeting in the Chita Garrison Court that they had no complaints against Mukhatov. Shamsutdinov’s lawyer called this “compensation” abnormal, specifying that the injured soldiers are still in military service and, “let’s say so, are not entirely independent in their decisions”.
