Two boards with medical supplies from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will arrive in Chechnya and Dagestan. This was stated by the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov.

“The dear brother, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, provided such assistance to the region”, - Kadyrov wrote on his Twitter.

According to the head of Chechnya, medical aid from the UAE will arrive in Grozny on June 1, and two days later, on June 3, in Dagestan. Aircrafts will deliver 25 thousand tests for coronavirus, 15 thousand antiplague suits, 500 thousand gloves, 50 thousand masks, shoe covers, wipes and antibacterial agents.

It should be noted that Kadyrov had previously stated that there were enough protective medical devices in the republic, and he demanded to dismiss the doctors complaining about their shortage.

Aide to Kadyrov, director of the Grozny ChGTRK Akhmed Dudayev said that an agreement to send medical care was reached during a telephone conversation between the head of Chechnya and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

- The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, asked how the fight against COVID-19 is proceeding in the Chechen Republic and whether help is needed. To which Ramzan Kadyrov replied that everything is stable and under control in the Chechen Republic, but the situation in neighboring Dagestan is complicated and assistance is needed. As a result, it was decided to send two planes - to Grozny and Dagestan - with the necessary medical supplies”, - Dudayev said in an interview with TASS.

We recall that in Chechnya, 1,227 cases of coronavirus infection were detected. 13 patients died. In Dagestan, the situation is worse. There were registered 4,995 cases of the disease and 235 deaths. The situation with the spread of COVID-19 in Dagestan aroused fears of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian Ministry of Defense transferred two multifunctional mobile hospitals to the republic.
