The peak of coronavirus incidence in Moscow predicted for September

According to Izvestia, referring to the study, the peak of covid in the capital will be in September.

It is specified that the model contains nine curves - from the first, the most pessimistic, to the ninth - optimistic. Scientists point out that at present in Moscow the situation is developing between the fourth and fifth curves.

If the scenario follows the fifth curve, then the number of active infected will be about 225 thousand. The date of such a peak was "set" for September 19. The fourth curve assumes about 228 thousand cases on September 16.

The developer of the mathematical model, the head of the Competence Center of the national technological initiative "new production technologies" of St. Petersburg State University, Alexei Borovkov, noted that the predicted estimates of the third peak were 1.3-1.6 times higher than the indicator of the second peak.

In the most optimistic scenario (according to the fifth curve), the capital will have a number of cases of 177 thousand people. In the worst case (according to the first curve) - 443 thousand infected with COVID-19.
