Citizens of nine countries will have to install an application with a PCR test to enter the Russian Federation

This is an application that confirms the presence of a negative PCR test for covid. Since July, such an application had to be installed on their mobile devices arriving from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. From today, this condition has extended to citizens of Azerbaijan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, RIA Novosti reports.

The obligation will not apply to those who fly in transit through these countries and have a negative PCR test done in another country no earlier than 72 hours in advance. These passengers will also need to present a ticket or boarding pass that confirms the itinerary.

Rospotrebnadzor (Russian consumer safety watchdog group) employees will be required to show a QR code with a negative test in the application. In this case, personal information will be available only to the user himself, and the inspectors will see only the green QR-code.
