Boris Plotnikov, who played Dr. Bormental in the "Heart of a Dog" film, died because of covid

The death of the actor was also reported by the Moscow Art Theater, of which Plotnikov was a member.

"This morning, at the age of 72, People's Artist of Russia Boris Grigorievich Plotnikov died. The Art Theater deeply grieves and brings condolences to the family and friends of Boris Grigorievich. The date and place of the farewell will be announced additionally", - the theater's website says.

One of the most famous roles of Boris Plotnikov was the role of Dr. Bormental in the film "Heart of a Dog". In addition, he starred in such famous films as "The Wild Hunt of King Stakh", "The Tale of the Star Boy", "Mikhailo Lomonosov" and others. His debut in cinema was the role of the partisan Sotnikov in the film by Larisa Shepitko "Ascent". Boris Plotnikov played on the stage of the Moscow Theater of Satire, the Central Academic Theater of the Soviet Army, the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, the Theater under the direction of Oleg Tabakov.
