Primorye police officers were detained for extorting 1 million rubles from spouses from China

The case was initiated under articles on attempted fraud and mediation in bribery. It is known that both detectives work in the department for combating organized crime in the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.

According to Kommersant, a married couple of Chinese citizens was engaged in illegal business - they traded medical masks and gloves. Law enforcers told the head of the family that he was on the international wanted list for Yakob and threatened to send him out of the country. To solve the problem, they demanded that 1 million rubles be transferred to them through an intermediary. However, the entrepreneur was sure that he was not wanted, so he immediately turned to the FSB.

As a result, both the intermediary with the money and both police officers were detained. It is known that both of them bear the rank of major.
