According to the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, the deputies of the lower house of parliament immediately, almost from July 3, will begin to work on bills necessary for the implementation of amendments to the Constitution approved by national vote.

According to Vyacheslav Volodin, the State Duma has already begun consultations on these topics with senators and government officials. He called it extremely important that the changes specified in the amendments be implemented "and all those standards that we are talking about become the norm for us", the Interfax agency notes.

The head of the lower house of parliament noted that "the one who took the duties of the deputy, the politician must understand: the politician, the deputy does not have vacations, these are all conventions", and "the one who came to rest should clearly understand for himself, that this is the end of his political career, not its continuation". At the same time, the State Duma speaker expressed the hope that "our deputies are responsible, I hope they all understand that now we need to work on new laws".

Andrei Klishas, a member of the Federation Council, spoke about the fact that the implementation of the amendments to the Constitution, which were put to the all-Russian vote on July 1, could start soon in the near future.

Voting on the amendments took place from June 25 to July 1, 77.92% of those who voted at the turnout of 67.97%, according to the Central Election Commission, supported the amendments. The only region that voted against the amendments was the Nenets Autonomous Territory. A spokesman for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov said that President Vladimir Putin will discuss with the members of the working group preparing the amendments via videoconference further actions.
