Investigators wrote an open letter to residents of Russian Kursk asking them to help investigate the crash of the Malaysian Boeing

Investigation into the case of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing MH17 over Donbas in the summer of 2014 asked the residents of Kursk to share information that could help the investigation. The appeal in Russian is posted on the website of the Dutch prosecutor's office, which organizes the work of the International Investigative Group.

According to the International Joint Investigation Group, the plane was shot down by a Russian-made Buk missile launcher stationed near the town of Snezhnoe in the territory controlled by the separatists of the self-proclaimed DPR, and the installation itself belonged to the 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Russian air defense from Kursk. According to investigators, the installation was delivered to the territory of the "DPR" from the Kursk region of Russia shortly before the shot.

In their letter, the Dutch reminded the Kurds of the tragedy that happened over Eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014, when a missile shot down a Malaysian Boeing MH17, which carried 298 people, including children. They all died. The Dutch reminded the Russians of the common pages of the military history of the two countries. For example, that back in 1697, Peter the Great came to this country to study military affairs and shipbuilding. And during World War II, both countries fought together against Hitler. In this regard, the police turned to the residents of Kursk with a request, explaining that according to the international Joint Investigation Group, which is conducting the case of the MH17 plane crash, this plane was shot down by a missile fired from the BUK anti-aircraft gun, which belonged to the 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade from Kursk.

Despite this fact, which is unpleasant for every resident of Kursk, the police are sure that the truth should prevail, no matter how inconvenient it may be. Therefore, in order to establish the identity of the BUK crew members and how and by whom the decision to use this weapon was made, the investigators would like to know what the Russian military thinks about this. The Dutch understand well that the BUK crew was sent to the territory of Ukraine against their will, and that, perhaps, the command and ordinary crew members have different opinions on this matter, and therefore they ask the question: do you know anything about this? Was the missile shot an accident, fatal error, technical failure, or was it deliberate? And who is responsible for this decision - the crew or someone else of higher rank?

This truth must be known in order for the relatives and friends of the victims to finally be able to calm down.

“We ask you to answer our questions. Relatives, friends and loved ones of those killed in this tragedy deserve an answer. You yourself deserve it. And you can find it in Kursk...”, - write the Dutch.

They, in particular, ask for photos, videos, emails or military orders related to the disaster. To send messages safely, it is proposed to open a new mailbox on Gmail and use public WiFi. The request is titled as a call to the Russian military, but the text itself refers to any persons who would like to share information.

This action caused, by itself, an ambiguous reaction. So, the famous analyst Andrey Nalgin asks the question in LiveJournal:

"Actually, this letter is a confession.

Generally speaking, in the eyes of the more or less thinking Russians zombified by the Kremlin propaganda, this trial is pretty much compromised by the Kremlin propaganda with the JIT bias, which from the very beginning clearly preferred only one version. And therefore, she ignored everything that did not fit into it.

#Russia provided data from the radars - they were rejected by the Dutch side, because they did not fit into the concept of the investigation based on the guilt of the Russian side, where the liner met the missile. The Russian concern Almaz-Antey conducted field tests of what a Boeing defeat would look like if it was hit by a missile from any Buk missile system in service with the RF Armed Forces - the results were ignored as an attempt to mislead the investigation .

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published information that the rocket, parts of which were found by investigators and attached to the case as evidence, was actually transferred to Ukraine long ago - the investigation considered it a fake . Etc. Not everything is recalled offhand. On the other hand, it suddenly turned out that some of the "evidence" in the case was fake. And the truck that allegedly transported the Buk was Ukrainian, not Russian. And the audio recording of Igor Bezler is actually not at all like that. And some other recordings of the negotiations , provided by the Ukrainian side, are composed of several fragments. And in general, you can recall the fake about the "Chernukhinsky Cossacks"...

That is, circumstantial evidence turned out to be not very strong . And now - an appeal: “Was the rocket launch due to a fatal error, due to defective equipment, or was the passenger plane shot down deliberately? Who is actually responsible for this? The crew of the BUK installation or other persons from the higher command staff? Which of the 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade made the decision to send the BUK air defense system to Ukraine, who was part of the BUK crew, and on the basis of what information did they decide to launch the BUK missiles? "

These questions are the very admission that the Dutch investigators do not have absolutely necessary information for the court . And the appeal itself is not an attempt to find "witnesses" for 30 pieces of silver ? They say that such people were found in Donbass... Will they be found in Russia?"
