This was told by the Commissioner for Human Rights in the capital Tatyana Potyayeva. She clarified that the issue of transportation conditions in paddy wagons had been discussed for a long time.
“I hope that in 2022 I will say this: a new paddy wagon with air conditioning, a toilet, with all the conditions for delivering people will be produced”, - Potyayeva said.
She indicated that now the city authorities will negotiate this with the leaders of the pre-trial detention center.
According to the Ombudsman, most of the complaints received from the detention centers were related to medicine. At the same time, all those arrested were vaccinated against covid, and women in labor receive the necessary assistance. At present, a decision has been made on the electronic registration of the libraries of the pre-trial detention center and the provision of literature to detainees in electronic form.
