In the city of Velikiye Luki, Pskov region, 31-year-old Artur Barinov was mobilized on September 24, and now, despite having three children, military unit refuses to return him home.

According to the telegram channel Baza, even after the decree of the General Staff on a deferral for fathers with many children was issued in October, and then the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin announced this, Barinov is still kept in a military unit. His wife repeatedly brought documents to the military registration and enlistment office, wrote a complaint to the regional and city prosecutor's offices, to the reception of the presidential administration, to Vyacheslav Volodin, to the Ministry of Defense and the All-Russian Popular Front, but there was no result.

On October 19, Vyacheslav Volodin announced that more than 9,500 fathers with many children had been recalled from military units - their mobilization was canceled.

Earlier, State Duma deputies rejected a proposal to exempt fathers of large families and fathers of children with disabilities from mobilization. Andrei Kartapolov, head of the State Duma Defense Committee, in turn, said that an order from the General Staff on mobilization should be sufficient.
